Getting to Know Lancaster County Slice by Slice

About Michael Arrieta, Pizza and SEO Enthusiast

Our Story:
I’ve lived all over NJ and New York areas growing up – no matter what neighborhood or city I was in I was never more than 15 minutes from a local pizza restaurant. Throughout my life I’ve always known it to be a staple, sometimes more frequently than others. The spark behind this platform came alive in Lancaster, PA, when I observed how our local pizza parlors were overshadowed online by the sprawling ads of large pizza chains. For someone who’s grown up cherishing every bite of handcrafted pizza from small joints, this was a call to action.

Why Local?
Beyond just the taste, local pizza shops are the heartbeats of many communities. They’re the backdrop to celebratory moments of local sports teams, the haven for families and friends, and the storehouses of countless cherished memories. But it’s not just about nostalgia. The uniqueness each shop offers, from their ambrosial bread and dough, distinct from the chain alternatives, to the comforting and unique ambiance, is irreplaceable.

Every shop we feature is a place I’ve personally set foot in. Accompanied by a trusted, unbiased pizza enthusiast, often a coworker, we savor and judge each slice. Hailing from the NJ/NYC area, I’ve had my fair share of exceptional pies, setting the bar high for any establishment we recommend.

Our platform is still young and evolving. While we might not have a story behind our brand’s name, our purpose is clear and driven by passion. If you have a beloved local pizza joint in mind or want to introduce us to a hidden gem, don’t hesitate. Together, we can give these small establishments the recognition they deserve.

Why SEO?

Incorporating SEO into my platform is more than just a strategy; it’s a reflection of my values and personal interests. Here’s why SEO resonates with me:

  1. Non-Intrusive Marketing: SEO offers a way to reach audiences without the disruption often associated with traditional advertising. It aligns with my ethos of subtlety and respect for the user experience.
  2. Admiration for Google: Google’s technical sophistication and constant innovation make it an straight up fun landscape to navigate. I love learning.
  3. Public Utility: Well-maintained SEO practices can be incredibly beneficial to the public, providing relevant, timely, and useful information.
  4. Technical SEO: The technical aspects of SEO scratch my problem-solving itch, and fine-tuning the mechanics behind how content is formatted, discovered and ranked allows me to flex my HTML, and JSON muscles in creative ways.
  5. Content Creation: Crafting content that resonates with our audience is a passion. SEO helps in delivering this content effectively to those who seek it.
  6. Supporting Businesses: My heart lies in helping businesses make money. SEO can level the playing field against any competitor given a thoughtful approach informed by years of experience.
  7. Long-term Profitability: I believe that investing in organic traffic through SEO work is a sustainable approach, offering more long-term benefits compared to the often volatility of paid advertising.

In essence, my love for SEO is being put to work to uplift local pizza joints against chain restaurants because I love a solid competition. I sincerely hope this site helps at least one person treat themselves to a pizza that’s locally made, and that they make some lasting memories along the way.
